The Alpha Performance Intercooler System from AMS Performance is a high-capacity, performance-oriented upgrade for the Porsche 997.1 Turbo / Turbo S (2006–2009) that dramatically improves charge cooling over the restrictive stock intercoolers. Using an aggressive pair of 5.5″ thick, high-volume intercooler cores with optimized fin density, this system sustains lower intake air temperatures under hard driving, improving power, torque, and knock resistance as boost and engine output rise. Precision molded carbon fiber intercooler shrouds retain the factory ducting and force cold ambient air through the larger cores, maximizing cooling efficiency without cutting or modifying OEM ducts. A large carbon fiber Y-pipe and custom silicone couplers promote smoother airflow to the throttle bodies, reducing pressure drop for faster boost response. Engineered with fitment and cooling performance in mind, this intercooler system supports both stock and highly modified 997.1 Turbo builds.
