Unlock substantially more airflow from the C8 Corvette ZR1 and ZR1X with the Fabspeed Super High-Flow Competition Air Intake System. Developed from the ground up using CAD engineering and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), this system is purpose-built around the airflow requirements of Chevrolet's twin-turbo LT7 rather than simply adapting an existing Z06 intake design.
At the heart of the system are massive dual 6-inch (150mm) high-flow cone filters with integrated velocity stacks, housed inside a premium carbon fiber airbox designed to isolate the intake charge from engine-bay heat. Fabspeed's design channels a greater volume of cool ambient air toward the engine while reducing the restrictions found in the factory intake system, improving airflow, throttle response, and performance potential.
Most importantly, Fabspeed reports gains of up to 103 horsepower and 160 lb-ft of torque from this intake system in its testing. Actual output will vary based on the vehicle, modifications, calibration, fuel, and testing conditions.
The C8 ZR1's 1,064-horsepower LT7 moves an enormous volume of air, and any restriction ahead of its twin turbochargers can become increasingly important as airflow demand rises. Fabspeed specifically developed this intake to address that demand rather than relying on an intake architecture derived from the naturally aspirated Z06 platform.
By combining significantly larger filters, velocity stacks, optimized air routing, and a sealed carbon fiber airbox, the system is designed to provide the turbochargers with a less restrictive supply of cool air. That can improve performance on an otherwise stock ZR1, but the increased airflow capacity becomes even more valuable as the vehicle is modified with downpipes, exhaust upgrades, higher-octane fuel, and ECU tuning.
For a high-output ZR1 build, an intake isn't simply about adding induction sound or dressing up the engine bay—the objective is to remove an airflow bottleneck and give the LT7's turbochargers the air supply necessary to support increased power.
