The Girodisc 394 mm Front Rotors offer McLaren owners a proven iron-rotor alternative to fragile, expensive carbon-ceramic front discs. They bolt directly onto the OEM six-piston calipers and hubs — no modifications, spacers, or caliper swaps needed — yet deliver the durability, thermal stability, and fade resistance needed for heavy street driving, canyon runs, or track sessions. Their two-piece, floating-hat construction reduces unsprung and rotating mass, giving crisper brake response and easier long-term maintenance.
Direct-bolt replacement for McLaren MP4-12C / 570S / 570GT equipped with the factory 394 mm carbon-ceramic front rotors (CCM).
Uses factory calipers and pads — but requires pads with a pad-swept annulus ≤ 66 mm (common pad shape e.g. FMSI D1405). OEM ceramic-rotor pads will not fit correctly.
Sold in pairs (left + right rotors) — rotor swap should retain OEM ABS and brake-bias behavior.
Two (2) floating 394 mm front rotors — each with a 6061-T6 aluminum “hat” and a high-carbon cast-iron friction ring.
Full floating-hardware kit: 12 cadmium-plated alloy steel drive-pins, hardened washers, and anti-noise spring washers — designed to allow thermal expansion while avoiding cold-start rattles.
Rotor Diameter: 394 mm
Rotor Type: Two-piece floating design — aluminum “hat” + iron friction ring
Hat Material: 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum
Rotor Ring Material: Proprietary cast iron, racing-spec
Pad Compatibility: Requires pads with ≤ 66 mm swept area (e.g. FMSI D1405)
Mounting Hardware: 12 alloy steel drive pins with cadmium plating, class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers; includes anti-noise spring washers for cold-weather noise prevention and heat-expansion float.
Sold as: Pair (front left + right)
Direct OEM Replacement for Carbon-Ceramic Rotors: The rotors bolt up directly to your McLaren’s factory six-piston calipers — no adapters or mods needed.
Floating Two-Piece Design: The aluminum hat + cast-iron ring reduces unsprung mass and rotating inertia, improving braking response and preserving ride quality.
Racing-Grade Materials & Build Quality: 6061-T6 aluminum hat and proprietary racing-spec cast iron rotor ring ensure durability, strength, and thermal stability under repeated high-load braking.
Optimized Thermal Management: Curved-vane internal design acts like a centrifugal pump to draw air through the disc, significantly improving cooling under track or aggressive street use — reducing fade and warping risk.
Serviceable & Cost-Effective: When the rotor ring wears out, only the ring needs replacement — the aluminum hats and hardware can be reused, making long-term maintenance more affordable than carbon-ceramic rotors.
Track → Street Versatility: With proper performance pads and high-temp fluid, the rotors deliver consistent braking feel and reliability under both track-day and daily-driving conditions.
